Job Description
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Alarm Technician to join our team. As an Alarm Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing alarm systems for residential and commercial clients. This is a full-time position with competitive pay.
Responsibilities:
- Install, program, and troubleshoot alarm systems including intrusion detection systems (IDS), closed-circuit television (CCTV), and access control systems
- Conduct system design and layout to meet client requirements- Troubleshoot and repair alarm system components
- Program and configure alarm panels and devices
- Conduct system testing to ensure proper functionality
- Provide customer training on system operation and maintenance
- Run cabling and wiring for alarm systems
- Provide technical support to customers regarding alarm system operation
- Maintain accurate documentation of installations, repairs, and service calls
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Alarm Technician or similar role
- Strong knowledge of alarm system installation and maintenance procedures
- Proficient in computer networking and telecommunication systems
- Familiarity with IDS, CCTV, access control systems, and locksmithing principles
- Ability to detect and troubleshoot issues in alarm systems
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Effective communication skills to interact with clients and team members
- Operate company vehicles to complete work on, and of property (Scissor lift, Boom lift,
etc.)
- Must be able to carry a 20 ft. ladder and lift up to 35 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in alarm system installation or related field
- Knowledge and experience with networking devices such as (Routers, Modem, Switches,
Hubs ETC is preferred)
-Experience with surveillance systems and access control systems is preferred
